On December 13, 2024 the time has come and the last episode of Blue Bloods – Crime Scene New York will be broadcast on the US channel CBS. This marks the end of an era that spanned 14 years and 14 seasons, not only for the fans, but also for the stars around Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg.
If it were up to Selleck, he would swap his police hat for a cowboy hat after the series finale – because he has his sights set on the series of one of the most successful creators in the industry: Taylor Sheridan.
Tom Selleck wants to make westerns from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan
As Selleck recently explained in an interview with Parade, the actor is looking forward to new offers after his Blue Bloods time. According to Parade, he wouldn’t mind if Yellowstone maker Taylor Sheridan contacted him:
A good western is always on my list. I miss that. I want to sit on a horse again.
Selleck has already appeared several times as a western hero and played, among others, in the genre representatives Quigley, the Australian and The Shadow Riders. In the latter, he appeared in front of the camera with actor Sam Elliott, who most recently worked with Taylor Sheridan in the Yellowstone prequel 1883. Selleck could also imagine being in front of the camera again with Elliot:
Sam was great in [1883]. Sam is always great. We have known each other for a very, very long time. I like him very much. I would like to work with him.
It remains to be seen whether we will see Tom Selleck and Sam Elliot together in a Taylor Sheridan series soon. First, fans of the Magnum star can look forward to the big Blue Bloods finale with the actor.
When will Blue Bloods season 14 come to Germany?
