He thrilled fans with the Star Trek finale and earned

While Trekkies are gearing up for the Section 31 film, the new Starfleet Academy series and new seasons of established formats, Marvel fans are looking forward to Agatha All Along and Vision, among others – both spin-offs of the acclaimed series WandaVision.

However, there is a unexpected connectionbecause if Marvel boss Kevin Feige hadn’t celebrated the third season of Star Trek: Picard so much, the Vision series would look completely different.

Kevin Feige hired Picard showrunner Terry Matalas for the Vision series because he is a fan

Terry Matalas took over as head writer for the third and final season of Picard, which gave fans some nostalgic familiarity after two more experimental seasons. As Feige said in an interview with Inverse, that was exactly what he was looking for:

That’s how I knew him. Through his incredible work on Picard Season 3. I said to myself: This is amazing. I have no idea how this even exists. Let me find out who did this.

The Picard final season not only brought the familiar crew from Star Trek: The Next Generation back together, but also exhumed the popular Enterprise-D and the Borg Queen from the most popular Next Generation movie as the ultimate antagonist.

White Vision

This was not Matalas’ first foray into science fiction. He previously made a name for himself with 12 Monkeys, a series version of the time travel classic of the same name. He was also involved in the new edition of MacGyver.

What is the Vision series from Disney+?

For the Vision series planned for 2026 on Disney+, Paul Bettany will return in the title role and even Elizabeth Olsen aka Wanda Maximoff will appear again. The android Vision died for the first time in Infinity War and then again in WandaVision, but was revived as a ghostly copy of White Vision, which could be an approach for the new series.

Before that, however, there will be a reunion with the witch Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn, whose miniseries Agatha All Along has already been released on 18 September 2024 is conjured up on Disney+.
