In The Red Tide by director John Milius, the USA is invaded by Soviet, Cuban and Nicaraguan soldiers in a dystopian future. Charlie Sheen plays the teenage resistance fighter Matt Eckertwho carries out brutal counterattacks within a guerrilla force called the Wolverines.

An exciting detail on the side: The actor already had a role in the film Grizzly II: The Predator in 1983. Since the film was only released decades later in 2020, Sheen first caught the audience’s attention in The Red Tide.

Charlie Sheen followed his father, the famous actor Martin Sheen (Apocalypse Now, Departed) in front of the camera as a child. For example, he appeared in his films Badlands and The Execution of Privat Slovik, in which he had no role name and was sometimes only seen for a very short time.

In the following years he appeared in numerous films such as Ferris Blue, Wall Street, The Arrival and Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.

He is particularly known for his appearances in two sitcoms: In Chaos City he stood in for lead actor Michael J. Fox, and in Two and Half Men he played the main character Charlie Harper. But not only his role and the long run of the series are legendary, his argument with series creator Chuck Lorre and his subsequent expulsion from the successful sitcom Two and a Half Men are also legendary.

However, the two made up again. Charlie Sheen can currently be seen in a comedy series by Chuck Lorre called Bookie, in which he plays himself in a guest role.
