A person on the Asiana Airlines passenger plane, which took off from Jeju Island in South Korea, opened the emergency exit door close to landing. According to Yonhap’s report, the suspect, who was seen opening the door of the passenger plane during landing, was detained by the police on the grounds that he violated aviation security laws.
HE SAID HE HAS STRESSED DAYS
The 33-year-old male passenger, whose statement was taken, said that he tried to get off the plane quickly because he was short of air. The suspect stated that he had been going through stressful days recently due to his recent unemployment.
It is stated that the unnamed person could face up to 10 years in prison if found guilty.
12 PASSENGER WAS INJURED
The door of the plane that took off from Jeju Island was opened by one of the passengers as it descended to land at Daegu International Airport. The opening of the plane’s door was watched by the passengers, and 12 of the 194 passengers on the plane were slightly injured. (AA-UAV)
