“He needs longer than the candidate”

He needs longer than the candidate

The candidates for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? At the beginning you have the choice of an additional joker at the cost of a security level of 16,000 euros. One of the selected additional jokers even made it into the selection of two candidates on Monday, September 23rd. While he answered the first question confidently, he seemed to have more problems with the second question.

Candidate on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire had difficulty with the geography question

Kathrin Tremel from Lichtenfels in Franconia was the last candidate on the show and made it through with just one joker bet up to the 16,000 euro question. However, she faltered when she asked the next question: “Which region does not have a federal state border running through it?” Kathrin was able to rule out two regions and only fluctuated between them East Frisia and the Eifel. She decided on the additional joker.

The geography student immediately stood up when the additional joker was called. Since he had already proven himself with another candidate, Kathrin chose the student.

The Joker stumbles, Jauch is amused: “He takes longer than the candidate”

The additional joker also fluctuated between East Frisia and the Eifel on this question. He said East Frisia was in Lower Saxony and bordered the Netherlands, while the Eifel was in North Rhine-Westphalia. When the geography student finally… decided again in favor of East Frisialaughter erupted in the studio. Günther Jauch countered:

So the tension factor was great, But I don’t quite understand it. That sounded like two correct answers.

After the student was confronted with Jauch’s comment, he changed his answer to the Eifel on the grounds that East Frisia runs through Bremen. After a short time, however, he wavered again because he suspected that the Eifel would also pass into Rhineland-Palatinate. When Jauch literally forced him to answer, he remained silent and thought. Jauch then made fun of him:

He takes longer than the candidate, crazy!

He finally decided for the Eifel.

Who wants to be a millionaire?: Telephone joker decided against additional joker

Jauch then suggested that Kathrin should just to be on the safe side the telephone joker choose. She agreed and called a geography teacher. He almost certainly decided on East Frisia and emphasized that Bremen was not one of them. Jauch humorously pointed out the discrepancy between the two answers:

Additional joker versus telephone joker. Geography student versus geography teacher. Battle of the giants.

Kathrin finally decided East Frisia, which turned out to be the correct answer.
