For over 40 years, Kaj Possler has leased a piece of land on the land that former prime minister Göran Persson bought in 2004. Now there is an infected neighbor feud going on where the parties argue about plot boundaries, boat berths and latrine barrels. — Kaj Possler thinks he is being abused, says reporter Jack Werner. Former Prime Minister Göran Persson and his wife Anitra Steen are thus one of the parties in the bitter feud. The other party is Kaj Possler and his partner Puck Samuelsson, who have leased the land since 1981. Only spoke to one party Journalist Jack Werner has made a podcast about the conflict. He has spoken to one party, Kaj Possler, but Göran Persson and Anitra Steen have not wanted to speak to him – at all. He has called, sent letters and emailed – to no avail. — So I have been able to represent Göran Persson and Anitra Steen through archival material and sources. It’s difficult, there are two different pictures of how the incident happened, says reporter Jack Werner. Werner has thus had free access to one party, but none at all to the other. — I spend quite a lot of time trying to show how they can think. What could be the reason why Göran Persson and Anitra Steen – a couple who at times in this country were so incredibly powerful and had so much – spend so much time and energy trying to remove tenants from a thousand square meters of their hundreds of hectares? Have sued each other The neighborhood feud has been tried legally several times. The issue has been before the tenancy committee twice, where the committee ruled in Kaj Possler’s favor both times. The parties have also sued each other and been to the district court twice. — Kaj Possler thought that Anitra Steen had committed a breach of domestic peace when she was inside photographing his summer cottage and another time when they were trying to come to some sort of point with a settlement about how big their plot would actually be, says Jack Werner. Göran Persson bought the croft in Sörmland in 2004 and the competitors believed that he did it as a pension plan. Jack Werner Fascinated by the fact that Torp had to play a big role in the election campaign in 2006. The podcast is made by Svenska Dagbladet.
