PUTIN MADE THIS DECISION FOR THE THIRD TIME
With this latest order, Putin has increased the size of the army for the third time since sending troops to Ukraine in February 2022. Putin ordered the number of combat troops to be 137,000 and 170,000, respectively, as of 2022, and it was announced that 300,000 reserve soldiers would be called up during partial mobilization in September and October 2022.
