A decision from the National Accountability Board is awaited
Last spring, chancellor Fredrik Österling reported the chairman of the board Håkan Jonsson to the police for corruption. This is because the chancellor believed that the board had irregularly employed a person on its own initiative.
The board responded by submitting a request to the State’s Accountability Committee to fire him. They believe that he has not done his job. As it is a state authority, it is the responsibility committee that must make the decision – which they are expected to do on December twelfth. Prosecutors have closed the preliminary investigation against Jonsson.
