A car dealer is charged with having sold 40 cars that he did not own and did not deliver, Helsinborgs Dagblad reports.
The car deals must have taken place between the end of 2019 and 2022.
According to the indictment, the man has turned primarily to other car dealers abroad who were defrauded of a total of SEK 15 million, the newspaper writes.
The man denies the accusations and says that he did not mean to deceive the buyers, but that he was trying to save his business after being deceived himself.
The man risks several years in prison and being forced to pay several million kroner in damages.
The prosecutor also requests that the man be banned from eating for ten years.
