Action expert Scott Waugh (Need For Speed, The Expendables 4) has a new film project in the works and has already found his leading actor. This is none other than Reacher series star Alan Ritchson.
The film called is to be shot Runners from March 2025 in London.
Reacher star Alan Ritchson becomes an organ transporter for action spectacle
In Runner, a professional courier driver has only three hours to deliver a life-saving organ to save a 7-year-old girl. But what sounds like a simple routine job suddenly turns into a full-throttle action rollercoaster ride when a notorious mafia syndicate does everything in its power to claim the organ for themselves. They just didn’t expect a driver who was extremely motivated.
Filmmaker Scott Waugh told Deadline that he wanted his new project to be reminiscent of the action cinema of days gone by:
With the driving force of an actor like Alan Ritchson, Runner reminds me of the Tony Scott action films I grew up with in the ’90s, when characters and stories were crucial and the Action as a spectacle came along. I couldn’t be more excited to direct this super entertaining script and bring the exciting world of Runner to life.
You know the action legend Tony Scott he mentioned from films like Top Gun, True Romance and Public Enemy No. 1.
And when will season 3 of Reacher continue on Amazon?
The third season of Reacher has already been filmed and will be released later this year 2025 on Amazon Prime Video go online. But fans don’t have to worry about that either, because a 4th season is already certain for the successful format.
If you need an Alan Ritchson fix beforehand, you can check out the program on Netflix. The actor can recently be seen there in a sensitive role that shows him from a completely different side. He will also appear in the sci-fi film War Machine on the streaming service in the future.
But even that’s not all of the Reacher star’s busy schedule. Richtson will also appear in the eleventh Fast & Furious film to reprise his role as Aimes.
