Poland has strongly supported Finland joining the military alliance NATO.
Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki considers it a good thing that the Prime Minister of Finland Sanna Marini (sd.) have celebrated in the Helsinki night.
Morawiecki represents the conservative Law and Justice party, which emphasizes Catholic values.
Morawiecki said at his press conference in Smolajny on Friday that Marini had a good reason to celebrate because Finland is about to join the military alliance NATO. Poland has strongly supported Finland’s NATO membership.
Videos of Marin partying and dancing with celebrities made headlines around the world. The videos were filmed in private spaces and in a nightclub.
The Prime Minister of Poland commented on the matter when asked about his opinion on Marin’s party videos.
– If the Prime Minister of Finland drank a little Finlandia in this situation [vodkaa] and dance for it, then there’s nothing wrong with that. I am very happy that he shared the joy with us, Morawiecki said, according to the Reuters news agency.
In Finland, Marin has faced criticism because of her ticketing. Critics have suspected that illegal drugs were used at the parties seen in the videos.
Marin announced at a press conference on Friday that he has taken a voluntary drug test for his legal protection. He said he has never used drugs.
