Someone threw a “banger” into Tonny Hermansson’s garden on Sunday morning.

Now he suspects that it is all about vengeful youths.

– It’s important to dare to speak up, you shouldn’t be afraid, says Tonny Hermansson.

Just before lunch on Sunday, Tonny Hermansson, 60, in Sölvesborg received a call from his wife.

– I was out for a walk when she called me and told me that there had been an explosion in the garden, he tells Aftonbladet.

Furthermore, he says that the wife must have seen a young and thin guy with a masked face who walked by on the street and threw something, which the police now suspect is a so-called “banger”, into the couple’s garden.

– I called 112 right away, explains Tonny Hermansson, who says he is shocked, but not surprised that something like this happens.

Both the police dog patrol and helicopter were dispatched to the alarm. No one has been arrested yet.

Scolded youth before

Tonny Hermansson tells us that he suspects that it is all about revenge after he scolded some young people with epa tractors.

– I don’t know what else it could be. I’m like that, I speak up and not everyone likes that, he says and continues:

– When they stood outside and made noise, I went out and spoke. One day I got tired and drove after one of them down to the harbor and scolded them, then I took the registration number and made a police report, says Tonny Hermansson.

The police have classified today’s event as harassment.

– There has been an unusual amount of explosions this weekend, especially in Skåne. Sölvesborg is usually calm, says Patric Fors, press spokesperson at the police.

The police have searched for the perpetrator, but no one has been arrested at the moment.

Must dare to speak up

Tonny Hermansson, who is often in contact with the police about disturbances in the neighborhood, thinks that the authority does a good job and takes the problems seriously.

– I also think it is important that we adults dare to speak up against the young people, you shouldn’t be afraid.

– This kind of thing is not okay, you get sad, he says.
