The young British woman is preparing to undergo a life-changing surgery this year, thanks to a medical diagnosis made by a stranger on Facebook. Doctors diagnosed the young woman with stomach pain for over a year, with gastric paralysis (gastroparesis). However, post-diagnosis treatment attempts were unsuccessful.
SYMPTOMS OF FOOD POISONING
Annie Marshall, who suffered from stomachache for months, shared a post on Facebook describing her situation after doctors were unable to solve her mysterious illness. According to the Daily Mirror, the 20-year-old girl has been experiencing symptoms similar to food poisoning since March 2020.
Doctors diagnosed the young woman who was losing weight every day, this time with stomach paralysis (gastroparesis). It did not work with any treatment applied after the diagnosis. Nothing resolved her problems, and she continued to experience severe symptoms. A doctor told the young girl, who was looking for a cure in different doctors over time, that she was anorexic. This time, the desperate young woman prepared a post describing her situation and shared it on Facebook.
THE DAY EVERYTHING CHANGED
After her post, she received a message from a woman who wrote that she was a nurse in America. The message he received was telling the young girl to look for Median arcuate ligament syndrome (MALS). As a result of her research, the young woman, who met with a doctor specialized in this disease, was diagnosed with Median arcuate ligament syndrome (MALS). The young girl, who continues to lose weight day by day, said in her last statement, “I contacted the best MALS surgeon in the world. I was put on the waiting list for the surgery that will take place in July.” she said.
