A video shared on social media went viral in a very short time. The video was watched so much that eventually the experts started to respond.
Heart Foundation spokesperson Hannah Drake responded on TikTok to a viral video from a user who claimed she developed early-onset heart disease after drinking energy drinks every day for two years.

Commenting on the video of the teenager who said he had been drinking energy drinks every day for two years, Drake said, “People want to know, is this real? Could it really be? I hate being the bearer of bad news, but yes.” His video, which begins with his words, has been viewed more than 3.6 million times.
ENERGY DRINK HAZARDS
Hannah Drake listed what can happen if energy drinks are consumed too often in the continuation of the video. “Energy drink consumption is linked to high blood pressure, irregular heartbeats and stroke, among other health conditions. It can lead to clotting and increase your risk of stroke and heart failure,” continued Drake.
In 2021, the American Heart Association declared that about 20% of all heart attacks in the United States are “silent.” A silent heart attack means that the person may not even know they are having a heart attack.
Those who watched Hannah Drake’s video on TikTok could not hide their surprise at the explanations. In the comments received, the number of those who said that they would stop drinking energy drinks was quite high.
