President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Baykar Chairman of the Board of Directors Selçuk Bayraktar. In the statement made by the Presidency of Azerbaijan, it was noted that a meeting took place between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of Baykar Board of Directors Selçuk Bayraktar. Conveying the greetings of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Aliyev, Bayraktar once again expressed his gratitude to Aliyev for the assistance provided after the earthquake disaster in Turkey.
“FRIENDLY MISSION”
President Aliyev thanked Bayraktar and asked him to convey his greetings to President Erdogan. Aliyev once again wished God’s mercy to those who lost their lives in the earthquake and described the aid that Azerbaijan provided to Turkey as a duty of brotherhood.
Recalling with pleasure the meeting he had with President Erdogan in Ankara in the past days and Erdogan’s visits to Azerbaijan, Aliyev noted that Erdogan’s visits to the liberated lands are of particular importance.
Stating that great successes have been achieved in the Turkish defense industry in recent years, Aliyev emphasized the importance of Baykar’s activities in this regard.
Aliyev also once again drew attention to the role played by Baykar products in the destruction of the military equipment of the Armenian invaders during the Homeland War (Second Karabakh War).
During the meeting, it was underlined that the friendship and brotherhood relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey have developed successfully in the fields of military and defense industry, as in all other fields, and views were exchanged on cooperation perspectives.
After the meeting, Bayraktar gave Aliyev a “Kızıllelma model” and “Bayraktar Akıncı fleece” as a gift.
