Eliyahu shared a post on his social media account regarding the assassination of Haniyeh.

Claiming that the assassination of Haniyeh would bring peace, Eliyahu said, “Haniyye’s death will make the world more beautiful.” The far-right Minister insulted the Hamas leader and commented, “No more imaginary peace/surrender agreements.”

“This is the right way to cleanse the world of this filth. No more imaginary ‘peace’/surrender agreements, no mercy for these mortals. The iron hand that will strike them will bring peace, some solace, and strengthen our ability to live in peace with those who desire peace. Haniyeh’s death has made the world a little better.”
In written statements made by the Hamas movement and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, it was reported that Haniyeh was killed in an Israeli attack on his residence in Tehran. (AA)
