The Santa Fe District Office and Baldwin’s attorney said in a statement that Baldwin handed over his personal cell phone to New Mexico state officials for review of his written, photographic or video posts.
The statement comes after the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office reported a month ago that the phone has not yet been delivered, despite a search warrant being issued as part of the investigation into the accident on the movie set.
Authorities, in the search warrant for the set accident, stated that Baldwin’s phone message, photo, image, e-mail correspondence and search history on the internet, as well as location notification information should be investigated.
Actress Baldwin stated on Instagram last weekend that she will deliver her phone, but before that she wants to make sure her private contact information is protected.
EVENT HISTORY
Actor Alec Baldwin killed Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured Director Joel Souza with the gun he used during the filming of “Rust” in New Mexico on October 21.
On November 19, 2021, a lawsuit was filed against Baldwin and the filmmakers, and it was alleged that Baldwin deliberately set up and fired a loaded gun, although there was no need to use a gun in the scenario of the scene to be shot.
In his first interview after the incident, Baldwin said that he did not know that there was a real bullet in the gun, that he felt deep sadness and regret for what had happened, but did not feel guilty.
