Deniz, who has been the target of malicious people because most of the digits of her identity number consist of the same numbers, has been accused of being a member of a terrorist organization, shooting people, countless enforcement cases, and even being pregnant. The young man said that sometimes he even appeared dead in the hospital records, and that he spent most of his life testifying at the police and courthouse, and that he was waiting for help to change his identification number.

Deniz, who said that he had given statements to the police and the court many times before, not only was executed dozens of times, but also got into trouble for establishing an association that supported a terrorist organization. Abdulselam Deniz, who noted that he encountered various problems due to the ease of the ID number, said, “A lot of trouble happens to me because of the ease of the number. I become a murderer because of my identity. I become a thief, a fraudster, a tax evader. It’s all because of my ID number. Because of this, I go to police stations and courts and testify. “I have to explain myself,” he said.

Noting that he has always been in trouble since the day he was born, Deniz said, “I have been going to give statements almost since I was born, since my childhood. There are loans and debts that do not belong to me. I try to justify myself every time. At one point, they called me a terrorist and my house was raided for establishing a terrorist organization. As you know, a dawn operation was performed on me. I was going to school then. It was during my high school time. Then the civil servants left papers for the country to be safe. They were very surprised when they saw me because I was still a child. Then they investigated, it was an association that helps a terrorist organization. “They fill in my ID number in the empty space,” he said.

Noting that this is why he could not benefit from his father’s insurance in hospitals when he was a child, Deniz said, “I went once and they said he was a veteran, and I went again and they said he was dead.” I went once again and they said you are 90 years old. Sometimes when I went, they said you don’t have a record. But today, an unregistered citizen goes to the hospital. He waves his ID number in his head. When I shake all the numbers, this happens to me. When I log into e-pulse, there is even an obstetrics and gynecology record in my hospital records. Pregnancy appears.
“I HAVE OVER 100 CRIME FILES”
I’m in Istanbul today, I haven’t been out of Istanbul easily. It seems that I was examined in Gaziantep, Konya and Giresun. Either I get a traffic ticket, I commit a crime, or I shoot someone. Either I turn out to be a fraud. I go and testify every time. Officers know me now because I travel a lot. I have over 100 criminal files. “If I’m doing these things, what am I doing outside?” he said.

Saying that he is married and has 2 children, Deniz said, “Most of the time, I take them to testify. Children are watching, they know my situation too. My life is always spent giving testimony. I’m just explaining myself. I beg the authorities. For God’s sake, change my ID. Okay, it was a mistake, it was a mistake, but this problem needs to be fixed. I myself did everything that needed to be done. I wrote everywhere. I’m going to the population.
