Our ministers unanimously decided to continue close support to Ukraine in the fight for independence and freedom. Ukraine needs more weapons. The war continues. Stating that they continue to work on the sanctions against Russia, Borrell stated that the sanctions work and cause severe economic difficulties in the Russian economy, and said, “After the holidays, we will discuss the reform steps necessary for Ukraine’s EU membership process.”
Claiming that oil prices have decreased with the measures taken by the EU, Borrell said, “With the sanctions decisions we took, we reduced oil prices to pre-war rates.”
LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARICAN OPENING FROM EU
Stating that they want to develop new relations for the Latin America and Caribbean region, Borrell said, “It was decided to remove some obstacles within the framework of the Mexico and Chile trade and free zone agreements.”
Stating that as the EU, it was decided to be more active in digital diplomacy within the framework of the Foreign Ministers Meeting, Borrell said that he would support the EU’s technological struggle.
