That product is none other than Apple’s mixed reality headset. As Macrumors reports, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that Apple is again delaying mass production of the mixed reality headset and that the device may not appear at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

In a tweet, Kuo suggested that Apple is not too optimistic about whether the title will have an “iPhone effect.”
As a result, according to Kuo’s claims, the company has chosen to delay the device’s mass production schedule from the middle to the end of the third quarter of 2023.
Kuo claims this delay creates uncertainty over whether the new device will appear at WWDC 2023, as the market has largely expected.
Allegedly, the delay also means that the title’s shipment estimates for 2023 will be even lower than previously thought, falling to just 200,000 to 300,000 units. Previously, around half a million units were expected to be shipped this year.
The reason for Apple’s concerns about the device; The economic downturn, concessions on hardware features, the weight of the device, the readiness of the headset’s ecosystem and apps, and the expectation of weak market feedback due to the high selling price.
Kuo believes the title will have a price tag of $3,000-4,000 or higher.
