He accepted! Google will pay 5 billion dollars in compensation

China does not stop Now they launched an internet test

According to the BBC, the California District Court announced that a settlement was reached in the lawsuit filed alleging that Google violated the privacy of its users.

Presiding Judge Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers announced that Google reached an agreement with the plaintiffs to pay $5 billion in damages.

“GOOGLE COOKIES TRACK USERS’ ACTIVITIES EVEN AFTER THEY ENABLE THE PRIVATE MODE” CLAIMS

The case was filed in 2020 by the Boies Schiller Flexner law firm, alleging that Google cookies continue to track users’ web browsing activities even after they enable incognito mode in Chrome.

On the other hand, Google Spokesperson Jose Castaneda denied the allegations and noted that they would defend themselves strongly through legal means.

Castaneda argued that the incognito mode in Chrome offers the option of browsing the internet without being recorded on the browser or device, but that websites can collect information about browsing activities every time a new incognito tab is opened.

Judge Rogers rejected Google’s application to annul the case last year.

At the beginning of December, Google agreed to pay $700 million in the antitrust lawsuit filed against it on charges of suppressing competition against the Android application store Google Play Store. (AA)
