The US Supreme Court will take up the question of whether former President Donald Trump can be banned from being on ballots in the fall presidential election.

The states of Colorado and Maine were the first to decide that Trump cannot be on ballots in state primaries.

But the issue before the Supreme Court specifically concerns the Colorado decision that was adopted by the state’s highest judicial body. The decision is thus made at the federal level in the United States.

The reason for the states’ decision is the accusation that Republican Trump tried to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

The verdict in HD is expected to come in February, with a first hearing on February 8.
