Hazelight’s New Game Split Fiction

Hazelight Studios’ new game Split Fiction aims to offer an exciting experience with dynamic split-screen co-op. Josef Fares explained the details.

After It Takes Two, which sold 20 million copies, Hazelight Studios returns with its new game. The studio’s founder, Josef Fares, named their next game “Split Fiction” and plans to officially announce it later this year. Similar to the co-op gameplay in Hazelight’s previous games, Split Fiction will again offer an exciting co-op experience.

What Will Hazelight’s New Game Split Fiction Offer?

Hazelight Studios’ new game, Split Fiction, will focus on intense co-op gameplay, as in the studio’s previous productions. The announcement made by Josef Fares on his social media accounts and the images shared by the studio indicate that the game will offer local split screen support and that this screen can change dynamically. Players will have a different experience by switching between vertical and horizontal split formats of the screen. This feature aims to offer much more innovative gameplay than the fixed screen split found in A Way Out and It Takes Two.

The game has been in development for at least two years and will be published under the EA Originals label. It is stated that Hazelight, like its previous games, aims to provide a story-oriented experience where players progress collaboratively. The word “Split” in the name Split Fiction gives an important clue that the split-screen mechanics of the game will be at the center. Dynamic screen splitting can make the flow of the game freer by allowing players to act independently while working on different tasks or puzzles.

The studio will celebrate its 10th anniversary in November this year, and more information about Split Fiction is expected to be revealed during this period. Under the leadership of Josef Fares, Hazelight Studios aims to once again offer an experience that will surprise and excite players.
