“Haven’t shown it to work”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The Biathlon World Cup is around the corner, and the battle for the last place in the Swedish squad is intensifying.
Then the former biathlete, and now the expert, Fredrik Lindström gives his view on the matter at the same time as he judges one of the names.
– There will be a lot of talk about the last place in the squad, but there is still no guarantee that there will be a single start during the WC, says Lindström.

The Biathlon World Championships are about three weeks away. The Swedish ladies have shown good form so far this season, and above all Elvira Öberg is as always a big medal hope for Sweden.

Besides Elvira Öberg teaches Hanna Öberg, Anna Magnusson and Lynn Persson be a given in the Swedish World Cup squad, but who takes the fifth and last place remains to be seen. Reasonably it will be in between Stina Nilsson, Mona Brorsson or Johanna Skottheim.
– I have been open that the WC is my goal, but four are pretty much a given. The form must be enough. If it doesn’t, I have no business at a World Cup, says veteran Mona Brorsson to Dagens Nyheter.

After Thursday’s sprint in Italian Antholz, the former biathlete and now SVT expert gave Fredrik Lindström his view on the debate surrounding who should take the last place in the World Cup squad.
– There will be a lot of talk about this last place in the squad, but there is still no guarantee that there will be a single start during the WC. I still think it will be Mona Brorsson, I see her as a good reserve to have in place, says Fredrik Lindström in SVT.

Condemns Stina

– Stina hasn’t shown that skiing works either, so Mona is probably better off right now. In Mona, we have a good name to throw into, for example, a relay and feel that “this will go well”, says Lindström.
