Folksam warns of scam text messages

Most recently, Folksam’s customers have been exposed to scam text messages, something like the insurance company Folksy published on its website.

In the scam SMS, customers should be asked to call or send an SMS to the phone number +46 736 239 841.

But this is therefore an attempted fraud and the number does not even go to Folksam.

“Folksam does not stand behind the call and strongly advises its customers and others who have received this text message not to respond to these,” the company writes on its website.

You must do that if you have been affected

In order to prevent the fraudsters from sending further text messages to several customers, Folksam urges the customers who received the text message to forward the message to number 7726.

In this way, the mobile operators will receive information about the SMS and its content, in order to be able to do something about it.

The numbers 7726 correspond to the word SPAM on the phone’s keypad and is a global way to report hoax text messages so mobile operators can stop fraudsters.
