– But there will be no electricity subsidy in 2024. It is a scam. We never contact you and ask for bank account details. Not by e-mail, SMS or letter, says Cecilia Sobocki who is press secretary at Försäkringskassan, to The evening paper.
She says that more and more people have gotten in touch. There are still no figures on how many private individuals may have received the email, and Sobocki urges the public to remain vigilant.
The warning: “Do not fill in any information”
If you receive the email, you should throw it away.
– Do not fill in any information, but discard the email. And if you have been affected and have filled in your information, you should contact your bank and report it to the police, she tells Aftonbladet.
Last year, Försäkringskassan offered electricity subsidies for a period, which may be the reason why fraudsters use electricity subsidies as bait, Sobocki believes.
