Three men suspected of having prepared a “violent action plan” in France were arrested in Haute-Garonne on Tuesday, October 8. A preliminary investigation was opened by the national anti-terrorism prosecution.
They are suspected of having prepared a “violent action on French territory”. Three individuals, including two of Afghan origin, were arrested this Tuesday, October 8 in Haute-Garonne, reports AFP, informed by a source close to the case. These three people were arrested in Toulouse and Fronton, at six in the morning, by investigators from the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI).
DGSI investigators, supported by the Raid, were able to arrest the three individuals after receiving information according to BFMTV. The nature of the information is not specified, but the continuous news channel indicates, citing a source close to the matter, that the two Afghans were linked and “were preparing violent action on French territory”.
The arrests of the three men took place as part of a preliminary investigation opened by the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office (Pnat) for “participation in a criminal association with a view to preparing one or more crimes of personal injury” .
