Hattrick by Filip Forsberg last night – Swedish NHL star glowing: “It was important”

Forward Filip Forsberg was hot against Buffalo in NHL ice hockey.
The Swede answered for the ninth hat trick of his career as Nashville won 4–2.
– It was above all important that we won tonight, but of course it’s fun to score a few goals as well, says Forsberg to Aftonbladet.

Philip Forsberg opened the game’s scoring a couple of minutes into the first period, but away team Buffalo quickly equalized when Rasmus Dahlin played up to Bowen Byram.

Luke Evangelista gave the home team Nashville the lead again before the first act was over and in the third period Filip Forsberg stepped forward again. Twice over.

Three assists for Nyquist

After barely two minutes, the 29-year-old lifted the 3-1 puck in and after 6.43 he also made it 4-1. The countryman Gustav Nyquist was involved in all three of Forsberg’s goals.
– The whole chain played well, again. Gustav Nyquist and Ryan O’Reilly are so smart and therefore very easy to play with, says Filip Forsberg.
