Has “The Witcher” vibes – There’s a new trailer for Dragon’s Dogma 2 at launch

Just in time for the release, there is a launch trailer for Dragon’s Dogma 2 and it is reminiscent of the adventures with Geralt in The Witcher: There are new monsters and an epic story is being teased.

What can you see in the trailer? The trailer is divided into several parts: gameplay scenes and mosaics that come together as if by magic.

The colorful window glass pieces tell an epic story of the people’s fight against monsters, primarily against a large red dragon. The voice-over implores the player character: As a chosen hero, it is now time to take your place among the worthy and fulfill your own destiny.

The gameplay scenes interspersed between the mosaic sequences appear to be a mix of cutscenes and actual gameplay: a character surveys the land from a bridge, a ruler looks down on his subjects, and a priestess prays in front of a brazier. There are also some fight scenes to see.

Launch trailer almost looks like The Witcher – the only thing missing is Geralt

What kind of monsters can you see? Most prominent throughout the trailer is the large red dragon. You can see this in the gameplay at the end of the trailer, but also as part of the big final mosaic in the fight with the hero.

A Medusa can also be seen briefly. In the next frame, however, another scene can be seen and a player character is thrown by an ogre. Just a few seconds later, said player character is chasing a giant in an antique-looking loincloth.

In the voiceover, the player character is also referred to as one of the chosen ones with great power and magic. There is even talk of conquering the monsters. Accordingly, it will probably be your job to kill monster after monster like Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher game series.

Starting today, you can test for yourself who exactly you are in Dragon’s Dogma 2: The game is now available and playable.
