Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale is one of the most touching cinematic experiences of 2023. This is mainly due to the performance of the main actor Brendan Fraser, who retired from Hollywood for years and is now back in the limelight.
Unsurprisingly, the The Mummy star has now been nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his performance in The Whale. The actor has to do this directly touching statement released.

Oscar nomination for Brendan Fraser has changed the star’s life
According to Screen Rant, The Whale lead actor released a straight away grateful statement because of his Oscar nomination:
I am absolutely over the moon and deeply grateful to the Academy for this recognition and for recognizing Hong Chau’s beautiful performance and Adrien Morot’s incredible makeup. I wouldn’t have this nomination without Darren Aronofsky, Samuel D. Hunter, A24 and the extraordinary cast and crew that brought me Charlie. A gift I certainly didn’t see coming, but it is one that has profoundly changed my life. Many Thanks.
We will find out whether he will receive the award at this year’s Oscars on March 12, 2023. However, Fraser is considered a favorite alongside Colin Farrell and has a good chance of winning. We won’t see the film itself until later. The Whale starts on April 27, 2023 in German cinemas.
