Has it escaped an abduction? Several suspects are in police custody

Has it escaped an abduction The suspects have confusing profiles

Last November, six men entered the former home of the parents of Inoxtag in Orgeval. The criminals, suspected of an attempted kidnapping on the Youtubeur, were placed in police custody and presented to an investigating judge.

On November 18, 2024, six men burst into the garden of a Orgeval house, in the Yvelines. He was around 7:30 am, when the owners, aged 59 and 74, faced three hooded, gloved and caring silhouettes with a dummy handgun. Without waiting, the attackers attacked the couple: they jostled the woman – about to call for help – and gave a butt to her companion.

Disabled, the house was a time inhabited by the parents of the creator of stainlessness content, 22, of his real name Inès Benazzouz. At the time of the attack, however, they had been there for a few years. There is “no relation to the parents of the Youtubeur, even if it was a house that belonged to them,” said the Versailles prosecutor’s office, adding that the accommodation had already been sold “for some time”.

Investigators suspect that the criminals were not informed of this change of owner and that they actually intended to remove Inoxtag or one of his family members in the hope of obtaining a ransom. A hypothesis corroborated by the behavior of the six men before entering the places of the offense. For more than an hour, they have indeed watched the house from the garden aboard a van.

Suspects already known to the police

Since Tuesday, January 28, the six men have been in police custody in the premises of the Judicial Police of Versailles, indicates Rtl. They were presented to an investigating judge at the Versailles court, this Friday, January 31, according to Bfmtv. They are suspected of “attempted theft in a band organized with weapon, attempted arrest, kidnapping sequestration or arbitrary detention in an organized gang, participation in an association of criminals for the preparation of a crime and violence with use or threat to ‘A weapon followed by incapacity not exceeding 8 days, and concealment in an organized flight gang committed on November 18, 2024 in Orgeval, “explains the public prosecutor.

The couple who were the victim of this intrusion tried to stop the criminals. The woman tried to physically block their passage as they fled, while the man chased them with a broom in hand, thanks to which he managed to break the passenger side of their vehicle. They still managed to run away, but DNA traces found in the garden of the targeted house made it possible to identify some.

Three suspects were identified, aged 21, 26 and 28 years old. They are all known to the police. Among them, “two were extracted from their cell for this police custody, since they were incarcerated for other facts. The role of each remains to be determined,” said franceinfo. Some of them would therefore not be at their first try.

The suspects have all denied their involvement in this case, despite the DNA traces found. The investigation also revealed that this team was probably involved in other criminal facts, reports BFMTV. Among them, there is an assassination attempt in Marseille last November, the sequestration of a man for two days, a brawl in Nanterre … It would in fact be a team recruited via the Snapchat social network by donors of order in order to perform criminal acts.

Previously, Inès Benazzouz had already been the target of two burglaries at his home, which occurred in 2024, during his ascent of Everest. Very followed on social networks, it has 8,900,000 subscribers on YouTube, 6,300,000 on Tiktok and nearly 6,000,000 on Instagram. The documentary on his ascent, entitled “Kaizen: 1 year to climb Everest”, has been seen 41,000,000 times on YouTube since its online on September 14.
