Lindblom has not played for another NHL club than the Philadelphia Flyers, and he had a contract that extended over the coming season. But now the Flyers have decided to place Lindblom on waivers, which means that other NHL clubs may offer him a contract. This means that his days at the club are numbered.

Donates one million kronor

The Philadelphia Flyers are thus buying Lindblom out of his contract, all to make room for the salary cap.

– No one can question Oskar’s will and strength to be able to return to the ice after everything he has been through. Oskar’s devotion to his teammates and the impact he has on the locker room is immeasurable. He is truly an inspiration to us all and will always be part of the Philadelphia Flyers family, says general manager Chuck Fletcher.

“Thank you for everything, Oskar. You have been an inspiration to our club and our city. We wish you all the best in the next chapter “, the club writes on Twitter.
