Harry Potter star Rupert Grint swiped a souvenir off set
Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe have played their roles as Ron, Hermione and Harry in the Harry Potter universe for over ten years, so there should already be a small souvenir from the shooting. On the very last day of shooting, Grint decided on a rather mundane memento. But even that he had to smuggle off the set by the sweat of his brow. Rupert Grint smuggled Harry Potter souvenirs past tight security

He opened up to People magazine:

[Die Produzenten] were very strict. Security staff have been searching the cars for the past few days [der Mitarbeiter]. But I am got away with the number of Harry’s house. I had to unscrew them. That was really dodgy.

In all likelihood, that’s what he means Harry Potter’s childhood home at 4 Privet Drive (4 Privet Drive in the English original). The home of the Dursley family will have had special emotional weight for all the main actors: after all, it was part of the sets of the filming from minute one.

In addition to Grint, his colleagues also took souvenirs home from the shooting, but did not have to hide them. Radcliffe was allowed to take his original Harry Potter glasses with him, as he told Collider.
