Democratic Party candidate Terrible Harris and the candidate of the Republican Party Donald Trump disagree on the arrangements for the September 10 election debate.

Controversy is especially caused by the microphones of the debate.

Trump and his campaign team want the other candidate’s microphone to be muted while his opponent is speaking.

Harris and his campaign team, meanwhile, would like to keep both microphones open throughout the debate.

They justify this by saying that it would enable “an exchange of ideas between the candidates on substantive issues”.

According to a BBC analysis Harris’ campaign believes that the so-called “open mic” principle will weaken Trump’s chances.

– He (Harris) wants the microphones on because Trump is uncontrollable, a strategist of the Democratic Party Ameshia Cross told the BBC.

President Joe Biden and Trump’s election debate on June 27, only the speaker’s microphone was kept on.

This led to Trump appearing uncharacteristically restrained, which in turn is believed to appeal to those voters who have not yet decided on their candidate.
