Vice President Kamala Harris has responded to Trump’s comments about her ethnicity.
Vice President of the United States and likely Democratic presidential candidate Terrible Harris has answered the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s to his comments about his ethnicity on Wednesday, saying it was Trump’s “same old show” again and that Americans deserve better.
– In the afternoon, Donald Trump spoke at the annual meeting of the National Association of Black Journalists, and it was the same old show, bigotry and disrespect. “I just want to say that the American people deserve better,” the vice president said in Houston.
– Americans deserve a leader who tells the truth. A leader who does not respond to hostility and anger when faced with the facts. We deserve a leader who understands that our diversity is not our differentiator, but our greatest strength, Vice President Harris continued.

Earlier Wednesday, Trump said at a National Association of Black Journalists event in Chicago that Harris “happened to turn black” a few years ago. Trump claimed that Harris just “suddenly made a U-turn” in his identity.
Vice President Harris’s mother was Indian and his father is Jamaican. His parents came as immigrants to the United States. Harris himself was born in Oakland, California.
ABC News reporter who interviewed Trump Rachel Scott pointed out to the former Republican president that Harris has always identified as black as well, and Trump’s claims are not true.
Harris is the first female and first black and South Asian vice president of the United States.
