The duo Harri Heliövaara and Lloyd Glasspool won their semi-final with strong moves and advanced to the final match of the ATP tournament for the seventh time this season.

A pair of doubles Harri Heliövaara and Lloyd Glasspool will play in the final match of the ATP 250 tournament in Stockholm on Sunday. The pair ranked third in the tournament defeated the American-French pair in the semifinals Maxime Cressy / Albano Olivetti in chapters 7–5, 6–3.

In the semifinals, Heliövaara and Glasspool dominated the match with their strong opening game, serving seven aces.

– There was a cool feeling and atmosphere in the center field, a wonderful number of Finns had come to cheer. There were both good and bad things in the match, but fortunately there were much more good things, Heliövaara commented in the Tennisliito press release.

– We showed that we are not easily knocked down mentally. We kept the energy up and did what we do best.

The Finnish-British couple has a chance for the second tournament win of the season in Stockholm. In the final match, they will face the first-placed couple, Salvarori Marcelo Arevalo and representing the Netherlands by Jean-Julien Roger.

Heliövaara and Glasspool narrowly lost to their final opponents in two sets in the final match in Dallas in February.

– The final is coming up quickly and in fact we trained with them here last Sunday. They come with high energy, but so do we.

The last time Finnish colors were seen in the finals of the Stockholm tennis tournament was in 2019, when Henri Kontinen won the tournament by Edouard Roger-Vasselin with.
