In response to the proposal from the House, a study was conducted into ‘provincial trends’. Based on this, it was decided that in addition to Utrecht, hares should no longer be hunted in Limburg and Groningen. Rabbits are no longer allowed to be hunted in the Netherlands, “because this species is declining in all provinces,” according to the ministry.
