When SBAB did the same review a year ago, things looked a little brighter. At least for the men. For them, the calculation came together in Gävle, Västerås, Sundsvall, Kristianstad, Växjö, Borås and Linköping.
“It is generally more difficult to get a loan now compared to last year. Before the banks grant a mortgage, they need to review the family’s finances in a so-called left-to-live-on calculation. In the calculation, they need to take into account that the interest rate has been raised, but also to the fact that inflation has increased the cost of living,” says SBAB’s private and housing economist Linda Hasselvik in a press release.
