It’s the big fight that everyone is still talking about.
Now even a highly unexpected person enters the fierce debate about Janne and Bojan.
“There are other jobs. Janne Andersson can become a successful sausage kiosk owner,” writes cultural journalist Peter Fällmar Andersson in a column for Sydsvenskan.
Over a day has passed since the national team captain Jan Andersson smoke together with the TV expert Bojan Djordjic in Viaplay’s television studio. After a convincing 5-0 victory against Azerbaijan in the European Championship qualifiers, it was thought that the joy would be at its peak after the match.

Then Janne visited the TV studio directly after the match and a huge fight broke out live. Some have described it as Swedish television history and you can safely say that it has touched a lot of people in our long country.

The next day, Andersson apologized for his hot temper and admitted that he tried to get hold of Djordjic. While the latter went public and announced that he “can forgive but not forget”.

Many have had extremely strong opinions about the fight and over a day later people are still talking about the event that shook Swedish football. Now an unexpected voice also joins the fierce debate.

It’s the culture journalist Peter Fallmar Andersson who has written an attention-grabbing column in Sydsvenskan where he saw Janne Andersson’s behavior.
“What Janne Andersson did in Viaplay’s studio after the game on Monday night (which we won 5-0!) was just the ‘Falling down’ crescendo on something like several national team captains, and a long line of media-embittered players such as Henrik Larsson before him, devoted to. Thank God, a hopeless attempt to make football into something it is not,” writes the columnist.

“He doesn’t understand”
Fällmar Andersson continues to write that the national team captain does not seem to know what the Swedish men’s national football team is really about and its importance for all blue and yellow supporters.
“Janne Andersson doesn’t understand what the national team is. It’s not a cult where you loyally swipe your Kool-Aid while kneeling before the great cult leader Janne. It is the opposite. There are ten million national team captains (minus the number of sane citizens in the kingdom during the match night), a wild social activity where no one ever agrees on whether the new kid in town, yesterday’s Jesper Karlsson, should play eight minutes, thirty-four minutes or 180 minutes in the Swedish the March cold on Friends”, he writes in the local newspaper.
If Janne Andersson doesn’t understand this, the columnist suggests that he turn to something else that he likes in life, namely sausages.
“As the national team captain, this is the first thing you need to understand. And that before you have decided to continue playing 4-4-2 until the death or what management platitudes to crumble into football language like arsenic. You simply have to take the often tiresome pretend-tough “expert” Bojan Djordjic’s eight-minute question at least seriously – and answer it. Otherwise there are other jobs. Janne Andersson would become a successful sausage kiosk owner anywhere in Halland,” writes Peter Fällmar Andersson in his critical column.
