After the latest reports of a new Rocky offshoot about archenemy Ivan Drago, Sylvester Stallone was furious. His anger is primarily directed at producer Irwin Winkler, whom he has called a parasite who would exploit the brand.
On Instagram, Sly recently shared another post about the Rocky franchise that is more peaceful and nostalgic. In doing so, he reveals one injury off the setwhich motivated him.

Sylvester Stallone opens up about broken toes from the Rocky Balboa set
In his Instagram post, according to Cinema Blend, Stallone talks about how he felt shooting Rocky Balboa two toes broke and how he continued to shoot despite the severe injury. He shows shoes that have been cut open at the front and says:
This may seem silly to some people, but I keep these as a reminder. When I did the last Rocky Balboa where I fought Mason Dixon and stuff, I broke two toes, broke them in half. I couldn’t even get my foot in my shoe.
Throughout the choreography and training for the film, I had to cut open the opening of my shoe to allow my swollen foot to get in, and we just kept going. So I keep this as a reminder that sometimes when it hurts it’s a good omen, because if it’s too easy, it’s usually not very, very good. Anyway, keep pushing through.
Such nostalgic excursions with a very special Sly touch only further underpin his status as one of the most charismatic action stars. At the age of 76, Stallone is gradually saying goodbye to his most iconic roles. Most recently, Amazon Prime has released Samaritan*, in which the actor has a aged superhero embodied.
