But in Norway, the Swedish team and especially Edvin receive harsh criticism for the way you missed the World Cup silver.
“Anger gets crushed. Grond is by far the fastest, and a little nonchalantly the last meters. A little embarrassing for Sweden, ”writes the Norwegian newspaper VG.
– Obviously Edvin wanted to take first place down the hill, which turned out to be a wrong decision when the Swiss slides before the curve. Edvin gets stuck a bit with the ski in the curve and gets no momentum in the rally, says Viaplay expert Teodor Peterson Which is also critical.
Edvin Anger manages to hide his disappointment after the race and is still happy for a World Cup bronze in Trondheim.
-We must be pleased with this and do better in two years, he says in the television broadcast.
– I thought I had control over it. Grond was there and I know he is strong, and it became a good fight at the end. I try to put the sprint up on the “shelf” to get some control, but I notice that he is cheerful. Then it gets tough. He sweeps me a little neighbor and I have to worry a little for it. But at the same time, it is the first medal in eight years and we must enjoy it.
