Hard boot to Björn Borg’s wife: “Oh, my God. Help”

Hard boot to Bjorn Borgs wife Oh my God Help

The tennis legend Björn Borg is considered by many to be Sweden’s foremost athlete of all time.

During his active career, he won several Grand Slams. He is best remembered for his five consecutive titles in the prestigious competition Wimbledon and six titles in the French Open.

Borg ended his tennis career in 1982, aged just 26, and has since then, among other things, founded the clothing and sports brand Björn Borg.

Now comes the next step in the career. Earlier this week, news broke that one of the greatest sportsmen of all time is releasing his memoirs.

– I am looking forward to the collaboration with Norstedts. The long-established publisher feels just right and we have respect and trust for each other, Borg said in one press release.

The book will discuss the career, decisions made, experiences that shaped him, childhood and life as a legend, celebrity and father.

However, it is not the tennis icon himself who will write the autobiography. Instead, it’s his wife, Patricia Borg.

The author believes that it is an insane idea to have Patricia Borg write the book about Björn’s life.

– Maybe she has a hidden talent, I don’t know Patricia. But it is an absolutely insane construction to have his wife write his book with that loyalty. There has to be an explosiveness with someone coming from outside. This is deeply worrying. You have to bring in someone who comes from another world and who can confront and open up. It must be a crash. It feels like life-threatening loyalty traps will hamper the book.

Lagercrantz feels great concern that Patricia Borg is the author who will write about Björn Borg’s life.

– Maybe it will be fantastic. But it doesn’t sound good. If you are going to write one of the world’s best sports stories, you must have one of the world’s best writers. I don’t know if she has shown that. It should almost be a Borg-class writer, he says.
