Mayor Janssen praised Kazàn for his “important contribution to the appreciation of magic as a fully-fledged art form”. Furthermore, according to Janssen, Kazàn has “given prestige to the profession and thus ensured the continued existence of the art of magic”. He also praised Kazàn for his efforts as an ambassador for countless charities, such as the Child and Burn Foundation, the Magic Care Foundation, the Tuberculosis Fund and the Princess Beatrix Fund.
