What an incredible Swedish ending it was!
Hanna Öberg did just like Sebastian Samuelsson and won WC gold in the last race.
– I’m living in a dream right now, says the WC gold hero to SVT with tears in his eyes.

It was both a great Swedish success in the men’s and women’s final mass starts. For Hanna Öberg did exactly as Sebastian Samuelsson and went away from everyone to win a very impressive WC gold.

The Norwegian Ingrid Landmark Dental violence hunted the closest and also the French Julia Simon tried, but no one managed to catch up with the Swede, who was able to pull away on the sprint lap. Öberg once again crossed the finish line first of all and got to celebrate WC gold in the very last race of the biathlon WC.

– I’m living in a dream right now, I’m in the floating zone, says a teary-eyed Hanna Öberg to SVT.
– It was a struggle and I had to go for it and drive – and it lasted all the way. I somehow manage to get everything together at this WC right down to the tile.

There were a total of four medals for Öberg and a total of 11 medals for the Swedish national team, which is a new record for the Swedish national team. Never before have they managed to win so many medals in the Biathlon World Cup.
– Two golds today and eleven medals, it’s big and not something I would have thought. She dared to go out hard and dares to put pressure on them and pulls it off even though they push towards the end. It is a “world champion”, says the national team coach John Luke to SVT and is so incredibly proud of the golden hero Hanna Öberg.
