Hanna Öberg had problems with her shooting during the last season.
Now the star believes she has come up with a solution to the problem.
– There will be a difference, she says.
Despite the fact that Hanna Öberg had a heavier competition season last winter, there is no doubt that the 26-year-old is one of our biggest stars. She has several major medals to her credit, including two Olympic gold medals.
Hanna Öberg’s move
It was mainly the shooting that hampered Hanna Öberg last season. She didn’t quite get it right on the range and lost a lot of time due to missed shots.
But this season, she hopes to get it all sorted. During the summer, the Swedish star has been training with a new rifle which will hopefully lead to good results at the World Cup.
– I have replaced the stock. That in itself may not mean a huge change in position or anything like that, but I have fine-tuned a lot and I also wanted to reduce the weight of the rifle, she tells Expressen.
“There will be a difference”
She further says that the previous rifle weighed up to four kilos. The new one is a few hundred grams lighter, which makes a big difference.
– My old rifle was quite heavy. Now I save a couple of hundred grams in any case. There will be a difference. Now I don’t have to drive around with that dead weight and I can also make several fine adjustments that I previously wanted to do, but couldn’t, says Öberg.
This weekend awaits the SC in roller ski shooting in Östersund. Hanna Öberg is of course one of all the participants who will show up on Saturday and Sunday.
– This weekend will be a little reconciliation of how I feel about these pieces and I hope to get it together in a good way. It has felt good, but we will see this weekend when it is sharp.
