The Twitch streamer HandOfBlood says that at the beginning of 2024 he resolved the conflict with the streamer Mahluna privately and in an adult manner and as a result “almost only had disadvantages for his brand.” That’s why he will handle it differently in the future and go public, otherwise it will be left to his own devices others the sovereignty of interpretation.
This is the situation:
Almost only suffered disadvantages
This is how he sees it now: Looking back, says HandOfBlood, this behavior almost only damaged “his brand”.
Because he said nothing publicly about the incident and clarified the conflict privately, only Mahluna’s narrative became public, which painted him in a bad light (via Twitter). He doesn’t want to accept that anymore in the future.
With his arms crossed, he explained in a stream:
“A narrative is simply written for free and that is now over. I won’t do that again. […] And I’m honestly tired of it. I’m at a point where I can no longer allow things to be spread about me and let it go.”
Silence left the field for his opponents to launch ugly attacks
what does he mean with that? By “narratives written” HandOfBlood means reaction streamers and opinion bloggers with whom he is in conflict and who pounced on the fact that HandOfBlood was publicly criticized by Mahluna.
The poetic narrative is here: HandOfBlood, who appears so politically correct to the outside world, is actually, behind the scenes, morally depraved and behaves like a cult leader who tells his people how they should behave and who they are allowed to work with and with whom not.
In particular, the gambling streamer Scurrows, the one with the fat, fat folders, has violently attacked HandOfBlood. For him, HandOfBlood’s silence was an admission of guilt, that he was really behaving like a cult leader and ostracizing people.
Scurrows explained that these “family-friendly” streamers like HandOfBlood, who acted morally correctly, were actually totally corrupt and depraved – and saw himself as a “gambling streamer” stigmatized, but morally completely in the right:
“These are the people who sit there and constantly point the finger at others: ‘Scurrows is transphobic who says there is male and female. […] They’re all complete failures. Total human failures.’”
Statement is related to the Shurjoka theme
Why is HandOfBlood making this an issue now? HandOfBlood makes it clear here that he no longer resolves such conflicts privately, but rather publicly, after he was publicly criticized by the Twitch streamer Shurjoka for speaking about her conflict as a “non-affected person” on Twitch and in a SPIEGEL interview without giving her any warning or consulting with her.
HandOfBlood subsequently described the statements in the SPIEGEL interview as not good (via Twitter), but has also noticeably moved away from Shurjoka.
HandOfBlood has made it clear that he no longer has or wishes to have any contact with the streamer.
This is what lies behind it: HandOfBlood’s way of resolving the conflict with Mahluna was sensible and actually exemplary – but in doing so, it actually left an open flank for its critics, who were just waiting to pounce with pleasure.
The fact that the criticism comes from Scurrows of all people is doubly bitter, because Scurrows has proven how to twist and turn public accusations against himself in such a way that he is left in a much better position than the attacker:
