– We started a bit half-crazy, but we worked our way into the match. It’s so incredibly wonderful to win and that’s what you always strive for. I got hold of the important balls so we could pull away, says one of the victory heroes Johanna Bundsen to SVT Sport.
The Golden Hats arrived and Sävehof could celebrate the second straight cup title with many players on the injury list.
– God, how nice. This is something we fought for all season and today we wanted to have everything in the final, says nine-goal scorer Nina Koppang to SVT Sport.
“Something happened in the second half”
H65 was involved in a 20-18 deficit in the second half, but then they couldn’t stand against the heavier Sävehof, where goalkeeper Johanna Bundsen became increasingly difficult to score on and Nina Koppang, who received the award as player of the match, kicked in the balls.
– Something happened in the second half and I just drove. We always want to win and have that culture in the club. There is nothing more beautiful, says Koppang.
“Seeing them celebrate again is hard”
H65 otherwise got off to a flying start after winning the shootout penalties 3-1 that they had with them at the start of the match.
– We don’t get started at all in the second half. We said in a timeout that we would hit harder and “double” on Nina Koppang, but it was a little late. She got to do a little as she wanted, says H65’s Emma Nuhanovic, a little disturbed by hearing the loud victory celebration in the hall.
– Seeing them celebrate again is hard, says Nuhanovic and glances away in the hall.
