Hammarby won the women’s Swedish Cup on Tuesday, when it defeated Häcken 3–0 in the final.

Hammarby, who entered the match against Damallsvenskan leader Häcken as the underdog, was the stronger team right from the start.

However, the opening goal of the match had to wait until the second half Madeleine Janogy hit twice in a short period of time. He was responsible for Hammarby’s third hit Maika Hamano.

More than 19,000 tickets had been sold for the match, but in the end 17,623 spectators arrived in the stands. This is a Swedish Cup record.

After the match, wild parties started. Hammarby’s supporters immediately rushed onto the field and surrounded the team’s players.

The organizers tried to do everything they could to keep the crowd of supporters away from the players, but had to bow in front of an estimated couple of thousand spectators.

The Finnish goalkeeper was also besieged by supporters Anna Tamminento which the crowd of fans began to sing a song of support addressed to the player.

In the end, the players were safely brought to the players’ tunnel to wait for the prize distribution. In the announcements of the stadium, spectators were asked several times to cancel for safety reasons, as there were also hundreds of children on the field.

In the end, the marshals were able to push the supporters away enough that it was possible to demarcate an area on the field for the prize distribution.

The players enjoyed themselves in front of the supporters for a long time before taking a shower.

In addition to Tamminen, Finns also play in Hammarby Eva Nyström and Adelina Engman. Nyström played 90 minutes, Engman was not in the lineup.
