In the Saturday round of the Men’s Superpesis, two rather surprising results were seen.
Raahelaiseura Pattijoen Urheilijat left Vimpelin Veto scoreless with their home win 2-0 (4-3, 2-1). The match was played on Rovaniemi’s central field, which is a soccer green that pretty much covers the indoor game of baseball.
– Many teams have pooped their pants against the Vimpelians in a place like this, but we made the fires in their last inning, the game director of PattU beamed at his own Perttu Westersund.
The comment referred to the runner-up Vili Stillin and the kidnapper Ville Veitkoski to great burnings.
– A different platform causes problems for the inside game. I tried to give my all to the event, commented first prize winner Vili Still (at 4/6).
The people of Hamina celebrate at Tahko’s expense
Hamina Balloliijat, who made a cry for help in the local media about the club’s financial situation on the day of the game, surprised Tahko in Hyvinkää with a 1–0 home win (2-2, 3-0). Tahko did not lead the opening period at any point.
The runs for the hosts in the opening period were scored by a joker Lauri Rönkkö. They guaranteed the winning pace of the second period Elias Lahti and Teemu Rouhiainen, the latter of which brought in two runs on Lahti’s home runs. The more than 1,200 spectators put at least a small smile on the lips of HP’s board of directors.
Seinäjoki’s Jymy-Jussit claimed the relegation race victory from Alajärvi in the wake of the Southern Pohja team. The home team Ankkurit lost 1–2 (4-5, 2-1, 0-2).
Jussie Oskari Salmela hit 1+2 runs in the opening period and brought home the winning run.
