Hamilton woman wanted on drug trafficking charges

Chatham-Kent police seek a Hamilton woman accused of drug trafficking.

On July 30, an officer stopped a vehicle on King Street East, near Adelaide Street South in Chatham.

The driver provided a Quebec driver’s license that police said was fake.

She was arrested, upon which a search produced a valid Ontario driver’s license with a photo, correcting identifying the woman, police added.

A large amount of currency and scales were found inside the vehicle.

The 21-year-old Hamilton woman, Raghdah Saad Taha Al-Janabi, was taken to police headquarters, where she was held for a bail hearing.

She was charged with obstructing a peace officer, possessing a forged document with intent, and use of a forged document.

She was released by the court with conditions and another appearance date.
